Patternitecture

Our start point to create pattern was experiencing abilities of paper like cut and fold which would give us a variation of modules. Our component is made from joining of three same shaped low polies in three equal orientations sticking from end faces and create the volume-based component. From surface to volume, a new component could enhance its structure and stability, remaining low weight because of its inner space. Volume can grow from its faces and edges and generating rules and patterns, perform in different functions as a large-scale object with people can go through the crust (inner space) of a single volume, as an object like interior furniture or as pavilion the modules near each other can form as shelter like surface.Volume can grow from its faces and edges and generating rules and patterns, perform in...

District 22, in [ex] tra I

DISTRICT 22In tra I The youngest district of Tehran is dreaming big. Land is divided to enormous pieces to rest “the most” s. these huge pieces block out the constant flow of city and border themselves in, making it impossible for people to interact and communicate. Here, the city is reduced a network of paths connecting destinations. The path network that could foster vitality in city is dedicated wholly to transportation means by hyper-scale borders. In this district we are faced with two realm of habitation, internal and external. lack of balance between these two scales is causing problems. Intra plugin is an attempt to make a connection between the two layer of habitation. Previous Next Previous Next Sheer borders that were made in district was making different qualities in each side of it, like highways, … How we see district 22...

Juxtaposition of programs

MAISON HERMES studying on programs and combining them with each like how from A and B we can produce C which has the features of both A and B but defines totally different behavior from itself. Different programs are happing in Renzo Pianos building if we look from section, level by level like most of the buildings; Hermes shop, offices, Galleries, workshops and roof garden at the top of it.Thinking about combining the programs we come up with concept of Ferris wheel after many attempts. As Ferris wheel goes round and round in its section it gave us interesting results from putting it in section of building and see how it takes a part of different levels and take them to another spaces.Like imagine part of roof garden comes to office level and people can go and...

plug in system; from 2D to 3D

Imagine how the structure of grid can be changed and turned from passive behavior to active one.We tried to think about another system that could be inserted into our passive grid and make influence. How these two systems would work and embrace each other.I thought about system that could drew our passive system into another dimensions because our grid acts same in every point so by giving some points more potential, we would challenge our grid.By entering second system, it makes depth with its inward and outward lines. And rising the amount of second system it could influence whole first system by turning from object to field. The next step was to bring our illustrations into third dimension so by imagining our grid like cubic repetitive structure and start to bombard them like how the rockets hit the...

Studying on object; cars

studying on objectWhen this mobile space moves it produces empty spaces in its movement. We considered our space(car) in its abstract form like cube and choose “L” form that was the least sides of cube and could associate form of cube.We had two different views at this level; first point of view was that these empty spaces were defined in advance.Like blocks that our shapes would fill in them.Everything happens inside that blocks.Second point of view that we would separate empty sides that were made from cube and turn them into empty spaces. As considering the empty spaces as roads that Let our shapes to be located and move so it can be grow and has outward behavior. Example pattern of growth.             In this model the void spaces are defined like scaffold and...
